Dr. Thummala is an ABPN board-certified neurologist who has practiced neurology in North Texas since 2011. He evaluates conditions involving the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles.
Dr. Thummala speaks English, Hindi, and Telugu, allowing many patients to discuss their concerns in the language they are most comfortable using.
Approach to care
Dr. Thummala takes time to understand the history behind a neurological concern. He reviews the examination, prior records, medications, and available testing before discussing what the findings may mean.
He explains the available options honestly and uses clear language or familiar analogies when a difficult concept needs to be understood. He adjusts recommendations as new information becomes available and your needs change.

Marsha is a Licensed Vocational Nurse with 15 years of experience in neurology. Her clinical background gives her a deep understanding of the needs of patients receiving neurological care, and she works alongside our office manager and team to provide compassionate and excellent care to every patient. Outside the office, Marsha most enjoys spending time with her family.
Front Desk Secretary & Receptionist
Tracey serves as the practice's front desk secretary and receptionist, welcoming patients and managing the day-to-day front-office operations that keep the practice running smoothly. Working closely with our office manager and clinical team, she helps ensure every patient's experience reflects our commitment to compassionate and excellent care. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, and reading.
Back-Office Secretary & Medical Receptionist
Amy has worked as a medical receptionist for over 20 years and serves as the practice's back-office secretary, supporting the administrative work that keeps the office running behind the scenes. She works alongside our office manager and clinical staff to help deliver compassionate and excellent care to our neurological patients. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her girls and family, reading, and going for walks on the trail.
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Dana has worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse since 1995, bringing decades of nursing experience to the NeuroMD team. She partners with our office manager and staff to ensure every neurological patient receives compassionate and excellent care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her children and four grandchildren, relaxing, and exercising in her pool.
Practice operations
Office Manager
Ms. Lavanya Kunduru oversees practice operations, including insurance coordination, compliance, and neurology-specific billing. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering and later completed a master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Her technical and administrative experience helps her approach complex office systems with organization, accuracy, and practical problem-solving.
With compassion and a positive, patient-focused approach, Ms. Kunduru works to make insurance and administrative matters as clear and manageable as possible for patients and their families. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
